NSE (neuron-specific enolase), also known as gamma-enolase, is a glycolytic enzyme expressed primarily in neurons and neuroendocrine cells. It serves as a research biomarker in studies of traumatic brain injury, stroke, neuroblastoma, and small cell lung carcinoma. This ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement in rat-derived samples, supporting research into neurological disorders, neurotoxicology, and neuroendocrine tumor models. The immunoassay is supplied as a complete kit containing pre-coated microplate wells, standards, antibodies, and detection reagents needed for laboratory workflows. Researchers apply it to investigate serum biomarkers following experimental brain injury or to characterize enolase expression in cell culture supernatant from rat neuronal lines. Each kit supports in vitro research use, with all reagents provided for individual runs in a standard ELISA protocol. Reagents require refrigerated storage between uses, and the kit is intended for research use only, not for clinical diagnostic procedures.
