Rat Enkephalin (ENK) ELISA Kit

Designed for in vitro quantitative determination of endogenous enkephalin concentrations in rat serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates, this rat-reactive immunoassay from Assay Genie uses a sandwich ELISA configuration read at 450 nm. The 96-well microplate format supports up to 96 assays, with a documented detection range of 93.75 to 6000 pg/mL and a 12-month shelf life when stored refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C in its sealed box. Reagents are supplied in vials, lyophilized standard vials, and a ready-to-use microplate, with biotin-labeled antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate concentrate, TMB substrate, and dilution buffers provided. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV below 10% across low, mid, and high-level rat samples tested 20 times on a single plate, while inter-assay precision is below 12% across three different plates with eight replicates each. The assay is calibrated for research use only and is intended for neuroscience workflows investigating opioid receptor signaling, nociception circuits, stress responses, and reward pathways in rat central nervous system regions such as the striatum, hypothalamus, hippocampus, and spinal cord, and it accepts tissue homogenate preparations from these regions for longitudinal and endpoint study designs.
