Rat Endothelin-1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Endothelin-1 in rat samples, supporting research into this potent vasoconstrictor peptide and its roles in regulating vascular tone, blood pressure, and inflammation. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

According to the manufacturer, the kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.75 pg/mL and a working range of 1.25-80 pg/mL. Reported linearity spans 86-104% for serum, 89-105% for EDTA plasma, and 92-99% for heparin plasma across dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n = 5). Recovery ranges of 85-103% (serum, average 93%), 85-101% (EDTA plasma, average 91%) and 86-105% (heparin plasma, average 96%) are documented. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The workflow includes equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Endothelin-1 is described by the supplier as a valuable biomarker in cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary hypertension and kidney disorders.
