Rat ELN/Elastin ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of ELN/Elastin in rat samples. The assay is reactive with rat and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity testing (n=5) returned values of 93-100% at 1:2, 85-101% at 1:4, and 88-98% at 1:8 for serum; 85-101%, 90-100%, and 88-97% for EDTA plasma; and 80-98%, 83-100%, and 80-99% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 86-104% (average 93%) for serum, 96-103% (average 99%) for EDTA plasma, and 91-104% (average 97%) for heparin plasma. All reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
