The Assay Genie Rat ELAVL1 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of ELAV-like protein 1, also known as HuR, a ubiquitously expressed RNA-binding protein that regulates mRNA stability, translation efficiency, and splicing. HuR binds AU-rich elements in the 3' untranslated regions of many transcripts, including those encoding cytokines, growth factors, and oncogenes, and its nucleocytoplasmic shuttling is a key feature of the cellular stress response. Researchers use this immunoassay to investigate HuR expression in rat models of inflammation, neurodegeneration, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and tumor biology, where altered HuR levels are linked to disease progression and therapeutic response. The kit supports studies requiring tissue homogenates prepared from rat organs, with absorbance measurements read on standard microplate readers and quantitative results interpolated from a standard curve. Each pack contains pre-coated wells, detection reagents, and standard calibrator for analysing unknown sample concentrations, enabling comparative analysis across treatment groups. Recommended for research use only in academic and pharmaceutical laboratories investigating post-transcriptional gene regulation and stress signalling pathways.
