Rat ELA2/Neutrophil Elastase ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody colorimetric assay from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of neutrophil elastase in rat samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Neutrophil elastase is a key enzyme of the innate immune response, with roles in inflammation and host defense, and its dysregulation has been implicated in various inflammatory conditions, making it a relevant biomarker for research into disease pathogenesis and therapeutic interventions.

The assay delivers a detection range of 1.563-100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL. For serum (n=5), linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 89-100%, 92-100% and 92-99%; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 90-105%, 89-99% and 92-100%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) 86-103%, 90-95% and 90-100%. Recovery ranges were 96-103% for serum (average 100%), 94-97% for EDTA plasma (average 96%), and 93-104% for heparin plasma (average 98%).

Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer and technical manual. The protocol involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, and TMB color development in the dark, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
