Rat Dopamine Receptor D3/DRD3 ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format to detect and quantify Dopamine Receptor D3 (DRD3) in rat samples. The assay is intended for investigators studying the dopaminergic system, which modulates neurotransmission and influences behavior, cognition and mood. Dysregulation of DRD3 has been linked to neuropsychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, addiction and Parkinson's disease, underscoring its relevance as a target in neuroscience and therapeutic research.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity was assessed by serial dilution of spiked samples. For serum (n=5), recoveries across dilutions 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 were 88–103%, 84–93% and 82–97% respectively. EDTA plasma (n=5) yielded 85–104%, 83–101% and 87–98%, while heparin plasma (n=5) yielded 91–103%, 84–95% and 81–100%. Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 97% for serum (range 85–104%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 85–97%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 90–104%).
