Rat Dopamine beta-hydroxylase/DbH ELISA Kit

A Sandwich, Double Antibody ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables the quantitative measurement of Dopamine beta-hydroxylase (DbH) in rat samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The kit has a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Storage is 2–8°C for 12 months. UniProt reference: Q05754.

Reported linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is 88–103%, 89–104% and 85–103% for serum; 86–98%, 83–97% and 89–99% for EDTA plasma; and 89–99%, 84–96% and 80–95% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) values are 92–102% (97% average) for serum, 86–104% (96% average) for EDTA plasma, and 92–105% (99% average) for heparin plasma.

The workflow involves a 90 minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60 minutes with biotin-labelled detection antibody, 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin, and 10–20 minutes of TMB substrate development in the dark, followed by stop solution and immediate absorbance reading at 450 nm. EDTA-Na2/K2 is recommended as the anticoagulant for plasma, which is centrifuged at 1,000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C within 30 minutes of collection.
