Rat DNA primase large subunit (Prim2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of DNA primase large subunit (Prim2) in rat samples. The assay detects natural and recombinant rat Prim2 and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Prim2 is the large subunit of DNA primase, a heterodimer of small and large subunits that synthesises the short RNA primers required for Okazaki fragment formation during discontinuous DNA replication. The kit uses a sandwich ELISA format with a reported detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 10.7%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, with documented recovery for serum (average 98%, range 92-104%) and plasma (average 100%, range 94-106%).
