Rat DNA polymerase alpha subunit B (Pola2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of rat DNA polymerase alpha subunit B (Pola2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

Validated for reactivity with rat samples, the kit detects natural and recombinant rat DNA polymerase alpha subunit B with a detection range of 0.156–10 mg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 mg/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 8.0%. Spike-and-recovery performance averages 102% in serum (range 96–108%) and 104% in plasma (range 98–110%). Linearity has been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

Pola2 is a nuclear subunit of the four-subunit DNA polymerase alpha:primase complex, binding subunit A. According to UniProt (entry O89043), it may play an essential role at the early stage of chromosomal DNA replication by coupling the polymerase alpha/primase complex to the cellular replication machinery, with a molecular weight of 66,636 Da. The protein is also referenced within cancer research applications.
