Rat Daxx ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection to quantify DAXX (Death Domain-Associated Protein) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL.

DAXX is a key protein implicated in apoptosis, transcriptional regulation, and DNA damage response, with dysregulation linked to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for related research. The standard protocol involves a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after stop solution addition.

Recovery in serum averaged 93% (range 85-104%), in EDTA plasma averaged 95% (range 86-104%), and in heparin plasma averaged 92% (range 86-104%). Linearity ranged from 80% to 105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. The kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.
