Rat Cytochrome P450 2E1/Cyp2e1 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) in rat samples. The kit uses a colorimetric, double antibody sandwich ELISA format and is reactive with rat serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. CYP2E1 is a cytochrome P450 enzyme that metabolises a range of drugs, precarcinogens, and solvents, and its activity is implicated in conditions including liver damage, alcoholism, and cancer, making it a relevant target for studies in drug metabolism, toxicology, and disease research.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 1.875ng/ml and a working range of 3.125-200ng/ml. Intra-Assay precision is given as CV <8% and Inter-Assay precision as CV <10%. Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated in serum (90-104% recovery, average 99%), EDTA plasma (85-103% recovery, average 94%) and UFH plasma (89-103% recovery, average 95%), each at n=5. Linearity was demonstrated in 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 serial dilutions of spiked serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma samples. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is for Research Use Only.
