Rat Cytochrome P450 2D18/CYP2D18 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Cytochrome P450 2D18 (CYP2D18) in rat samples, using a colorimetric detection method. CYP2D18 is an enzyme involved in drug metabolism and detoxification processes in the liver, where it plays a role in determining the efficacy and toxicity of various medications, making it a biomarker for studying drug metabolism and personalised treatment strategies.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity has been verified across dilutions, with serum (n = 5) giving 88-99% (1:2), 90-103% (1:4) and 97-105% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n = 5) giving 89-95%, 93-100% and 82-98%; and heparin plasma (n = 5) giving 80-94%, 83-100% and 84-99%. Recovery ranges are 92-103% for serum (average 99%, n = 5), 86-101% for EDTA plasma (average 95%, n = 5) and 87-102% for heparin plasma (average 97%, n = 5). The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, adding HRP-streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Kits should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
