Rat Cytochrome P450 19A1/CYP19A1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative detection of Cytochrome P450 19A1 (CYP19A1), also known as aromatase, in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates of rat origin. CYP19A1 catalyzes the formation of aromatic C18 estrogens from C19 androgens and plays a role in hormone regulation, reproduction, and development. The kit uses a double-antibody Sandwich ELISA detection method and is reactive with rat samples.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 75 pg/ml, an assay range of 125–8000 pg/ml, intra-assay precision of CV <8%, and inter-assay precision of CV <10%. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is labelled for research use only.

Spike-and-recovery was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and UFH plasma (n=5 each). Recovery ranges and averages were: serum 91–97% (average 93%), EDTA plasma 89–103% (average 96%), and UFH plasma 87–98% (average 92%). Linearity by serial dilution of spiked samples at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 was: serum (n=5) 94–102%, 91–105%, and 90–100%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 91–99%, 83–100%, and 84–100%; and UFH plasma (n=5) 81–100%, 82–97%, and 87–97%.
