Rat Cytochrome P450 11A1 (CYP11A1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Rat CYP11A1 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1, the mitochondrial cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme (P450scc) that catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step of steroidogenesis: conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone. CYP11A1 is highly expressed in steroidogenic tissues including the adrenal cortex, ovarian theca and granulosa cells, testicular Leydig cells, and placental trophoblast, making the kit a useful tool for reproductive endocrinology research, HPA-axis regulation studies, Leydig cell aging models, and screening of endocrine-disrupting compounds in rat models. Reagents should be refrigerated and protected from light; equilibrate components to room temperature before running the immunoassay.
