Rat Cytochrome C ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of cytochrome c in rat samples. The kit is reactive with rat and has been described for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm after the addition of TMB substrate and stop solution, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Quoted performance figures from the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.234 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.391-25 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay precision is CV <8% and inter-assay precision is CV <10%. Recovery in spiked serum (n=5) was 87-100% with an average of 93%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) was 85-102% with an average of 93%, and in UFH plasma (n=5) was 86-104% with an average of 98%. Linearity across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was reported as 85-105% / 86-95% / 88-105% for serum, 82-98% / 94-100% / 83-98% for EDTA plasma, and 80-94% / 88-100% / 82-93% for UFH plasma.
