CYSLTR2 is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds cysteinyl leukotrienes LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4, mediators implicated in bronchoconstriction, vascular permeability, and eosinophil recruitment during allergic responses. This chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie uses a sandwich format in a 96-well microplate, delivering quantitative detection of rat CYSLTR2 in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates with greater sensitivity and a wider dynamic range than conventional colorimetric ELISA. Each well requires roughly 100 ul of sample, with standards and detection antibody stored refrigerated at 2-8°C; unused strips should remain sealed in their protective pouch under the same conditions to preserve shelf life. The protocol supports asthma, allergic inflammation, and receptor pharmacology studies, providing an in vitro tool for measuring CYSLTR2 expression in rat models of airway hyperresponsiveness.
