Built around a research-use-only immunoassay workflow, this Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of rat Cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61 (CYR61, also called CCN1), a secreted matricellular protein involved in angiogenesis, fibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix remodeling. CYR61 supports integrin-mediated cell adhesion and modulates growth factor signaling, making it a target of interest in wound healing, fibrosis, cardiovascular injury, and tumor micro-environment studies.

Supplied as a complete 96 Assays package, the kit contains pre-coated plate wells, detection reagents, recombinant reference standards, and assay buffers sufficient to process one full microplate in a single run. A standard curve generated from the included calibrators enables interpolation of unknown concentrations, and absorbance results are captured on a standard plate reader. The protocol follows sequential incubation, wash, and substrate development steps typical of solid-phase immunoassays, with absorbance measured in the visible spectrum.

Investigators working with rat models of tissue repair, vascular injury, or chronic inflammation can use this kit to monitor circulating or tissue-derived CYR61 as a marker of matrix-driven signaling activity. All reagents are intended for in vitro research use only and should be handled according to standard laboratory safety practices, with waste disposed of in accordance with institutional chemical hygiene guidelines.
