Rat Cyclin D2/CCND2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the measurement of Cyclin D2 (CCND2) in rat samples. The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with rat species. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (82-99%, 82-101%, 85-99% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, n=5), EDTA plasma (80-97%, 88-98%, 88-97%, n=5), and heparin plasma (89-104%, 91-104%, 86-102%, n=5). Recovery ranges were 90-103% for serum (average 98%), 90-105% for EDTA plasma (average 94%), and 90-101% for heparin plasma (average 91%). The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. The target protein (Uniprot Q04827), also known as CCND2 or G1/S-specific cyclin-D2, is a regulator of the G1 to S phase cell cycle transition and has been implicated in cancer-related research.
