Rat CXCL1/GRO alpha ELISA Kit

The Rat CXCL1/GRO alpha ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a sandwich ELISA based on a double antibody method, designed to quantify CXCL1/GRO alpha in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay delivers a sensitivity of 3.75 pg/mL with a working range of 6.25-400 pg/mL.

CXCL1/GRO alpha is a key chemokine involved in inflammation and immune response, where it plays a crucial role in recruiting and activating neutrophils. Dysregulation of CXCL1/GRO alpha has been implicated in various inflammatory conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these diseases and potential therapeutic interventions. Validated linearity (n = 5) is reported as 89-102%, 83-101%, and 80-90% for serum; 85-100%, 83-101%, and 80-95% for EDTA plasma; and 90-101%, 85-100%, and 83-95% for heparin plasma, at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively. Recovery ranges are reported as 86-98% (average 92%) for serum, 88-103% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 89-103% (average 97%) for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody with a 60-minute incubation, adding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, then adding stop solution and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
