Rat CVL (Cytovillin) CLIA Kit (RTES00173)

The Assay Genie chemiluminescence immunoassay quantitatively measures Cytovillin, the protein product of the Vil2 gene also called Ezrin. Ezrin is a member of the ERM (Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin) protein family that links the actin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane, where it regulates cell shape, microvillus architecture, adhesion, migration, and downstream receptor signaling. Researchers studying cancer cell invasion, epithelial barrier integrity, intestinal brush-border biology, and cytoskeletal remodeling commonly measure Cytovillin levels in preclinical rat models.

The kit uses a rat-specific capture antibody and is configured for 96 assays per plate. Chemiluminescent signal output provides broad dynamic range and low background relative to absorbance-based ELISA, making it well suited for quantifying low-abundance Cytovillin in dilute samples. Cross-reactivity with mouse, human, or other species has not been characterized, so samples should be confirmed as rat-derived before interpretation.

Store unopened reagents refrigerated and protected from light until the expiration date on the outer label. Reconstituted standards and diluted detection reagent should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 °C to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
