Rat Cubilin/CUBN ELISA Kit

A double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of Cubilin (CUBN) in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The target protein is involved in the reabsorption of various substances in the kidney and plays a role in maintaining overall kidney function; dysregulation of Cubilin expression has been implicated in kidney disorders, making it a useful biomarker for studying these conditions. Synonyms for the protein include Cubn, gp280, IFCR, MGA1, and intrinsic factor-cobalamin receptor.

Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following substrate development using TMB. The kit is stored at 2–8°C and is stable for 12 months under those conditions. Accepted sample matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Linearity in serum (n=5) is 86–96% at 1:2, 86–102% at 1:4, and 85–102% at 1:8. EDTA plasma (n=5) shows linearity of 85–89% at 1:2, 90–98% at 1:4, and 84–95% at 1:8. Heparin plasma (n=5) shows linearity of 80–98% at 1:2, 83–93% at 1:4, and 83–99% at 1:8. Recovery is 86–100% in serum (average 93%), 90–101% in EDTA plasma (average 97%), and 86–97% in heparin plasma (average 92%).
