Quantitative measurement of cutaneous T-cell-attracting chemokine (CTACK/CCL27) in rat samples is supported by this PharmaGenie ELISA reagent from Assay Genie. The kit employs a microplate-based immunoassay with an enzymatic colorimetric readout, where absorbance values are proportional to CCL27 concentration in the test specimen.

CCL27 is a keratinocyte-derived chemokine that drives recruitment of CCR10-positive memory T lymphocytes into cutaneous tissue. Researchers studying skin inflammation, psoriasis-like dermatitis, allergic contact hypersensitivity, and wound healing kinetics in rat models use this biomarker to quantify chemokine release from inflamed skin, regional lymph nodes, and circulating leukocytes.

Each kit includes pre-coated strip wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and a lyophilized recombinant rat CCL27 standard calibrated against a defined concentration range. Reagents are supplied for 96 assays. Recommended specimen types include cell culture supernatants, lithium-heparin plasma, and serum.

The assay workflow calls for loading 100 µL of standard or sample per well, followed by sequential incubation with detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP, and substrate. Reaction termination produces a measurable color change. Standard curves are generated in parallel for interpolation of unknown concentrations.

For reagent integrity, store unopened kit components refrigerated at standard cold-chain temperatures. The reconstituted standard should be aliquoted and held frozen for longer-term use, with care taken to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Working dilutions of antibody, conjugate, and standard are prepared fresh on the day of the assay.
