CTXI is a biochemical marker generated during osteoclastic bone resorption, released when cathepsin K cleaves the C-terminal telopeptide region of type I collagen. This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of CTXI in rat specimens, supporting studies of bone turnover in rodent models of osteoporosis, arthritis, metabolic bone disease, and fracture healing.
The kit is supplied as a complete package of reagents and microplate strips sufficient for 96 individual determinations, allowing batch processing of multiple experimental samples. Researchers commonly apply this CTXI assay to monitor changes in bone resorption following pharmaceutical intervention, dietary modification, or genetic manipulation in rats. Each box contains standards, antibodies, detection reagents, and a protocol insert, with components intended for research use only.
Reagents should be stored refrigerated at the temperature indicated on the package insert to preserve antibody binding activity and assay performance across the full experimental series.
