Rat Creatine Kinase MM/CKMM ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Creatine Kinase MM (CKMM) in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with a colorimetric TMB substrate read at 450 nm. CKMM is a muscle-type isoform of creatine kinase predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, where creatine kinase plays a vital role in energy metabolism, making it a valuable biomarker for assessing muscle damage and disease progression in muscle-related research. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with a working range of 1.563-100 ng/mL.

Linearity data (n=5) for serum spans 87-104% at 1:2, 82-98% at 1:4, and 82-100% at 1:8; EDTA plasma shows 89-104%, 85-98%, and 88-96% at the same dilutions; heparin plasma shows 89-104%, 89-100%, and 83-92%. Recovery averages 98% for serum (94-105%), 93% for EDTA plasma (86-104%), and 99% for heparin plasma (93-104%). The assay procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, after which stop solution is added and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Components are stored at 2-8°C, with the kit remaining stable for 12 months under those conditions.
