Rat CPB2/TAFI ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA designed to quantify CPB2, also known as TAFI (thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor), in rat-derived samples. The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions lies between 83–105% for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery ranges from 87–102% in serum (average 95%), 85–105% in EDTA plasma (average 99%), and 93–105% in heparin plasma (average 97%). The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The double-antibody sandwich protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, colour development with TMB in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction followed by absorbance reading at 450 nm. Because dysregulation of CPB2 has been linked to thrombosis, inflammation and cardiovascular diseases, the kit is intended for cardiovascular research applications.
