Rat Corticotropin-releasing factor-binding protein (Crhbp) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of rat Corticotropin-releasing factor-binding protein (Crhbp), also known by the synonyms CRH-BP and CRF-BP. The kit is reactive with rat samples and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay reports a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.084 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.4% and inter-assay CV is 7.9%. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranged from 83-96% at 1:2 to 99-109% at 1:16, EDTA plasma (n=5) from 108-117% at 1:2 to 82-92% at 1:16, and heparin plasma (n=5) from 110-119% at 1:2 to 90-98% at 1:16. Recovery averaged 94% for serum (range 88-100%) and 96% for plasma (range 90-102%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant rat CRHBP (UniProt P24388), a secreted protein that binds CRF and inactivates it, and is intended for cardiovascular research applications.
