Rat Corticosterone ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of corticosterone levels in rat samples, this Competitive ELISA from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method. Corticosterone (CORT) is a key hormone in rats involved in stress response, immune function, and metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to conditions such as anxiety, depression, and metabolic disorders. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

With a sensitivity of 1.688 ng/mL and an assay range of 2.813-180 ng/mL, the kit delivers reproducible performance across dilution series. Recovery testing yielded averages of 98% (range 88-105%) for serum (n=10), 92% (range 87-104%) for EDTA plasma (n=10), and 94% (range 86-101%) for heparin plasma (n=10). Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, returning 87–104%, 86–103%, and 91–103% for serum; 83–98%, 82–95%, and 84–101% for EDTA plasma; and 88–100%, 82–98%, and 85–87% for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.
