Rat Complement C9/C9 ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the precise quantification of complement C9 in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit employs a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. Complement C9 is an essential component of the complement system and plays a critical role in the immune response and defense against pathogens; its dysregulation has been linked to various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it a key biomarker for studying these conditions.

The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It delivers a sensitivity of 5.625 ng/mL and a working range of 9.375–600 ng/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) is 82–95%, 83–97% and 80–99% for serum at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions respectively; 83–95%, 87–105% and 85–100% for EDTA plasma; and 82–101%, 87–96% and 85–94% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 92–100% for serum, 85–103% for EDTA plasma and 92–99% for heparin plasma, with an average of 97% across all three sample types.

The protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes and absorbance read at 450 nm. Kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
