Rat Complement C4A/C4A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of complement C4A in rat-derived samples using a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. Complement C4A is a key component of the immune system involved in defense against pathogens, and its dysregulation has been implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for immunological research.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard curve range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (82-98% at 1:2, 82-95% at 1:4, 86-95% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (83-99%, 88-97%, 85-104%), and heparin plasma (90-101%, 82-94%, 82-101%). Recovery ranges with corresponding averages are 86-105% (96%) for serum, 85-102% (97%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-101% (94%) for heparin plasma.

The six-step assay procedure begins with reagent equilibration and loading of standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, followed by primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes. Biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added with incubation for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is added for color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, then stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
