Rat Complement C3/C3 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit developed for the quantitative measurement of complement C3 in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Complement C3 is a key component of the immune system, playing a central role in the activation of the complement cascade and the innate immune response, and its dysregulation has been implicated in various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a detection range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. Recovery ranges are 90–100% (average 96%) for serum, 85–104% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–97% (average 92%) for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labeled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
