Coagulation Factor XIII A1 Polypeptide (F13A1) is the catalytic A subunit of the fibrin-stabilizing transglutaminase that cross-links fibrin chains during terminal clot formation, and the Assay Genie Rat F13A1 ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring this analyte in rat plasma. Circulating F13A1 levels in rodent models are commonly studied in the context of venous thrombosis, hemorrhagic diatheses, hepatic dysfunction, sepsis-associated coagulopathy, and wound healing biology. Each kit supplies pre-coated microwell strips, lyophilized reference standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution, packaged in individual vials sufficient for 96 assays run on a standard microplate. The assay is intended for in vitro research use only, with all components stored refrigerated and protected from light; reconstituted standards should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Plasma samples are typically run in duplicate against a seven-point standard curve, with the supplied protocol covering recommended dilution factors, incubation times, and intra-assay precision criteria specific to the rat F13A1 analyte.
