Rat CNTN4/Contactin 4 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA, double antibody format kit for the quantitative detection of contactin-4 (CNTN4) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Contactin-4 is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in neuronal development and function, and its dysregulation has been implicated in autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and developmental disorders.

The kit delivers a detection sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Validated recovery (n=5) ranges from 85-102% (average 93%) for serum, 86-104% (average 97%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-99% (average 91%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 80-104% for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5).

The colorimetric assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin binding and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
