Rat Clusterin ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Clusterin in rat biological samples. The assay uses a double-antibody, colorimetric detection method and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay covers a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL. Validated linearity has been demonstrated for serum (83–96% at 1:2, 88–102% at 1:4, 95–100% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (89–104% at 1:2, 82–101% at 1:4, 91–100% at 1:8) and heparin plasma (89–104% at 1:2, 82–101% at 1:4, 91–100% at 1:8). Recovery across the tested matrices ranges from 85–105%, with average recoveries of 93% (serum), 94% (EDTA plasma) and 95% (heparin plasma).

Clusterin, also known as apolipoprotein J, is a multifunctional glycoprotein involved in physiological processes such as lipid transport, cell adhesion and apoptosis. The kit targets the rat Clusterin protein (Uniprot P05371) and is relevant to research areas including developmental biology, inflammation, neurodegenerative disease and cancer, supporting studies aimed at understanding the role of clusterin in health and disease.
