Rat Chromogranin-A ELISA Kit

A double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of chromogranin A in rat samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric readout. Sensitivity is reported at 18.75 pg/mL with an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, and components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Average recovery across serum and plasma matrices ranges from 92% to 96%, with linearity maintained at 80–105% across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n = 5). The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate with TMB substrate development, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Chromogranin A is a key protein involved in neuroendocrine function and serves as a marker for neuroendocrine tumours and a range of other conditions. Studying chromogranin A levels supports research into the development and progression of these diseases and may help inform new therapeutic approaches in the field of neuroendocrinology.
