Rat Chemerin ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is configured as a double-antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of chemerin in rat samples. The colorimetric workflow uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL and the assay range is 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Recovery in serum (n = 5) was 87-96% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma 91-102% (average 95%), and in heparin plasma 83-99% (average 97%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 83-98% / 88-97% / 91-97% for serum, 84-100% / 83-98% / 81-98% for EDTA plasma, and 85-99% / 81-96% / 83-95% for heparin plasma.

Chemerin, also known as RARRES2 and TIG-2, is an adipokine associated with inflammation, adipogenesis and metabolic homeostasis, and has been studied in the context of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
