Rat Ceruloplasmin ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of ceruloplasmin in rat-derived samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody approach: an immobilised capture antibody, a biotin-labelled detection antibody, and HRP-Streptavidin, with TMB substrate read at 450 nm.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 3.75 ng/mL and an assay range of 6.25–400 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 98–105% at 1:2, 89–100% at 1:4, and 87–105% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) is 82–99%, 82–96%, and 88–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) is 85–98%, 81–94%, and 89–100%. Recovery spans 85–100% (average 92%) in serum, 93–105% (average 98%) in EDTA plasma, and 85–103% (average 93%) in heparin plasma, all at n=5.

The protocol runs at 37°C, with 90 minutes for initial antigen binding, 60 minutes for detection antibody binding, and 30 minutes for HRP-Streptavidin binding, followed by 10–20 minutes of colour development in the dark before stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm. All kit components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months, with the lyophilised standard and unused microplate strips suitable for longer storage at –20°C.
