Rat CDK5R1/Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of rat Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 5 Activator 1 (CDK5R1).

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months (S1, S2). Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with reported ranges of 88–99%, 86–104% and 97–105% for serum (n=5); 89–94%, 93–100% and 82–98% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 80–93%, 83–100% and 84–99% for heparin plasma (n=5) (S1, S2). Reported recovery ranges are 92–104% for serum (average 99%), 86–101% for EDTA plasma (average 94%) and 87–101% for heparin plasma (average 94%) (S1, S2).

CDK5R1 is described as a key regulator of cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (CDK5), a protein involved in neuronal development, synaptic plasticity and cell migration. Dysregulation of CDK5R1 has been implicated in neurological disorders including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia, making it of interest as a potential biomarker for studying these conditions (S1, S2).
