Description

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 16 (CDK16) in rat samples. The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich detection format and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a working range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. The associated UniProt entry is Q63686 and the target is also referenced under the synonym Pctk1.

Performance data provided by the manufacturer covers linearity and spike-and-recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5). At dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, linearity was 83–100% for serum, 87–95% for EDTA plasma, and 91–102% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages were 95% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, and the product is grouped under the Developmental Biology research area.

The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition. According to the manufacturer, CDK16 is described as a regulator of cell cycle progression implicated in cellular growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, with dysregulation associated with cancer.
