Built around the type I transmembrane inhibitory receptor CD200R1, the Assay Genie ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of the OX-2 membrane glycoprotein receptor in rat-derived samples. Predominantly expressed on myeloid lineage cells, including macrophages, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and mast cells, CD200R1 transmits intracellular signals upon engagement by its ligand CD200 that dampen myeloid activation and support peripheral immune tolerance.

The CD200-CD200R1 axis has been studied extensively in rat models of neuroinflammation, autoimmune encephalomyelitis, allograft rejection, and central nervous system tumors, where altered receptor expression correlates with disease severity and therapeutic response. Accurate receptor quantification therefore underpins biomarker discovery, target engagement studies, and pharmacodynamic readouts in preclinical pipelines.
