Rat Caveolin 1 (CAV1) ELISA Kit

Caveolin-1 (CAV1) is the principal structural protein of caveolae, flask-shaped invaginations of the plasma membrane that organize signaling complexes, lipid rafts, and vesicular transport. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie measures endogenous CAV1 levels in rat-derived specimens, supporting studies of membrane biology, cardiovascular remodeling, fibrotic signaling, and lipid metabolism in rodent models.

The kit uses a colorimetric readout compatible with standard microplate readers and is configured for 96 assays per plate. Pre-coated wells capture the target, and bound CAV1 is detected with a conjugated secondary antibody producing an absorbance signal proportional to antigen concentration. The assay is intended for research use only and is validated specifically for rat reactivity.
