Rat Cathepsin S/CTSS ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of rat cathepsin S (CTSS) in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for rat samples.

Cathepsin S is a thiol protease involved in antigen presentation, inflammation, and tissue remodeling, and serves as a valuable biomarker for research into autoimmune diseases, cancer, and inflammatory disorders. Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 46.875pg/ml and a working range of 78.125-5000pg/ml, with intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. The kit is supplied for storage at 4°C for 6 months and is intended for research use only.

Spike-and-recovery testing returned an average of 99% in serum (range 92-104%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (86-98%, n=5) and 96% in UFH plasma (88-105%, n=5). Linearity was confirmed across 1:2–1:8 dilutions for serum (86–104%), EDTA plasma (82–101%) and UFH plasma (80–100%). The target corresponds to UniProt entry Q02765.
