Rat Catalase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of catalase levels in rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody sandwich format, with a sensitivity of 18.75 mIU/mL and an analytical range of 31.25-2000 mIU/mL.

Catalase is an enzyme that protects cells from oxidative damage by breaking down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, and accurate measurement of its levels is used in research into oxidative stress-related conditions such as diabetes, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reagents stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay workflow proceeds through reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, after which the stop solution is added and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
