Loss-of-function variants in SLC25A20 cause carnitine-acylcarnitine translocase deficiency, an inherited fatty acid oxidation disorder characterised by hypoketotic hypoglycaemia, hepatic dysfunction, and ventricular arrhythmias in the neonatal period.
