Rat Carboxypeptidase A1, Pancreatic (CPA1) ELISA Kit

Carboxypeptidase A1 (CPA1) is a zinc-dependent pancreatic metallopeptidase that cleaves aromatic and branched-chain amino acids from the C-terminal end of peptide substrates, and circulating CPA1 levels are routinely investigated in rat models of pancreatic injury, exocrine dysfunction, and hereditary pancreatitis.

The Assay Genie ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay configured for rat samples, supplied as a 96-assay kit that yields a colorimetric end-point signal read on a standard microplate reader. Rat-specific antibody pairs selectively recognize the CPA1 zymogen and active enzyme forms, and the workflow follows standard immunoassay steps including sample addition, incubation, washing, and chromogenic substrate development.

Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, chromogenic substrate solution, wash buffer, and assay diluent, enabling measurement of pancreatic CPA1 in serum samples or plasma samples collected from experimental animals. The kit is intended for research use only in vitro studies, including exocrine pancreas research, acute pancreatitis models, and characterization of pancreatic enzyme regulation.
