Rat CAPN6/Calpain 6 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of CAPN6 (Calpain 6) in rat samples. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, using a colorimetric detection method with absorbance read at 450 nm. The assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard range of 0.313–20 ng/mL.

CAPN6 is a member of the calpain family involved in cell signaling, cytoskeletal organization, and apoptosis; its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, muscular dystrophy, and neurodegenerative disorders. The kit provides high sensitivity and specificity for reproducible quantitative results, with reagents stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation, 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 91–105%, 82–101%, and 83–99% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma (n=5): 92–101%, 82–99%, 80–98%; heparin plasma (n=5): 87–101%, 84–98%, 80–98%. Recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 85–99%), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 89–104%), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 88–97%).
