Rat Calumenin/CALU ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format to detect calumenin (CALU) in rat-derived samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance measured at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. The assay has a stated sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781-50 ng/mL, and unopened reagents are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

Reported recovery values for serum span 85-105% (average 95%), for EDTA plasma 86-104% (average 97%), and for heparin plasma 86-103% (average 94%). Linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions gave 87-97%, 85-103%, and 87-97% for serum; 84-101%, 89-101%, and 93-101% for EDTA plasma; and 80-99%, 86-92%, and 80-91% for heparin plasma.

The protocol involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB development in the dark for 10-20 minutes before adding stop solution and reading absorbance.
