Calpain 3, also known as CAPN3, is a calcium-dependent protease that plays a crucial role in muscle function and maintenance, with mutations in the CAPN3 gene linked to limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2A.

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay enables quantification of calpain 3 in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
