Rat Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase-II/CAMK2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit for the quantitative detection of Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase-II (CAMK2) in rat samples. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Reported performance from the manufacturer includes a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Dilutional linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 86–105% for serum, 83–96% for EDTA plasma, and 82–95% for heparin plasma. Spike recovery averages 96% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 87–100%, 88–99%, and 89–101% respectively. Kit reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow covers plate and reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and immediate absorbance measurement at 450 nm. The kit is intended for research use in studying CAMK2, an enzyme implicated in intracellular signalling, neuronal function, synaptic plasticity and neurological disorders.
