Rat CALC2/Calcitonin gene-related peptide 2 ELISA Kit

A colourimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide 2 (CALC2) in rat samples. CALC2 is described as a critical neuropeptide involved in pain modulation, neurogenic inflammation, and vasodilation, with dysregulation implicated in migraines, fibromyalgia, and inflammatory diseases.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a sandwich, double-antibody format and is read at 450 nm after TMB colour development. Linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma dilutions ranges from 82-105%, while recovery averages 92% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
